The so-called Osoblaha Hook is a border area in the North of Moravia.
It used to be a prosperous region before the World War II, but became country´s most damaged one after the army had passed through it during the liberation.
When the German population was forced to leave the area was repopulated by immigrants from all over Europe. They farmed the land for the newly set up state-owned cooperative farms.
Velvet Revolution put an end to collective farming; the region has never recovered from it and has gradually turned into a land gone wild.
